Looks like something I would play, I just don't know how I feel about the running and gunning with the MG42 Undecided

It is free2play right?

Quote:For the coming stress test we’ll, like the previous stress test, send 7000 new Beta-keys, an “invitation” mail to players who already are Beta-players and a reminder mail to those who have received a key, but haven’t activated it yet. So look out for the mail, and add “beta@heroesandgenerals.com” and “news@heroesandgenerals.com” to your address book, if you want to be sure that your spam/junk filter doesn’t catch mails from us.

So, apply now if you want to have an insight on the game....

It looks/sounds like a very interesting concept, but do you think a game like this will have any bigger audience than RO2? Seems like if it's not a Triple-A title then you're only going to find a niche group, like the RO2 community, that is into the game.

My other concern is that this is a game with such huge ambitions, you wonder if all the little things get done right. I remember RO2 having similar ambitions...maybe not in the air or with perpetual battles, but they certainly promised big and fell short.

I miss good old WWII capture the flag.

Just got into the beta today, and it's completely unplayable for me. With all graphics settings turned low/off I get what I can only guess is about 10 frames per second, if I'm lucky. Not sure what in the world I have to do to make this game run.

Using the latest version of Firefox. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, intel core 2 duo e8400 @ 3ghz, 6gb of ram, evga GTX 560 Ti ... what more does it want?

Updated graphics driver and Flash Player, that seemed to do the trick.
